Do you think that ipod users will evolve lip reading skills?

In common with 19th century mill workers in England, who learned to lip read so they could communicate over the noise of the machinery they worked with everyday, do you think that the slackjawed hoodie generation who cannot walk anywhere without their ipods screwed in, will lose the power of spoken communication? It makes sense, as less reliance is placed on the sound of words, and more on the mouth shape the need for the ability to spell is reduced plz makes as much sense as please - in fact more so as the vowels only serve to confuse lipreaders. Just thought I'd waste 5 points

2. Never thought it this way. You might be right! Now I'm sort of curious so I'll start watching and see if it might be already happening. And since I live and work in NYC I guess I'm at the perfect place to keep my eyes open! And maybe, why not, try to do it myself. It sounds fun. Profuy
