Communication Needs

Can you tell me how many Reliance shares I have?

My Mother purchased 10 shares (9+1) of Reliance Industries Ltd on 4 Feb 1988. I want to know how many shares (including bonuses) she has, I also want to know whether she has Reliance Communication/Energy/Capital etc shares. Also please suggest how to claim them. Note: My Mother does not have a Demat acoount as yet

1. This is tricky ! Ask your Stock Broker ! If you have a Dmat account , see there !
2. See.... If some bonus shares were allotted to your mother, they might have sent the papers to her...remember? Now, for small quantity of shares, paper form is still in vogue ... You may write to the Registrar of the shares to know the details. If your mother do not like to open a demat a/c, it will be difficult to dispose off them ... however, some brokers deal with such shares even to-day. Thanks
3. if she is still holding the shares in paper form, the bonus.rights or shares of other companies would have already come to your adress in paper format.
