Advantages and Disadvantages of thick coaxial, thin coaxial, fibre optic and twisted pair?

Hi, can someone please give me Advantages and Disadvantages of thick coaxial, thin coaxial, fibre optic and twisted pair??? Thank you

  1. Coaxial cable in general has been outmoded. Devices that use them have far lower bandwidth, so I would not use it in any general-purpose setup. The main difference between thick coaxial (!0BASE5) and thin (10BASE2) was network topology. Twisted pair is cheaper, and far easier to splice. However, it is subject to "attenuation", where the overall signal is degraded over a distance. Fiber optic does not suffer as much from attenuation, making it far better over longer distances. It is very difficult to splice cables for it together, though.
