What are the consequences of not having good communication skills?

I need to write an essay on communication skills. I need help with consequences of not having the skill. I know some, but to me it is hard to get a 750 word essay by what I think. Please help me.

1. Nothing. Just look at Bush, he has no communication skills and he became President. It's not what you know, it's who you know.
2. One is that people will think you are not very intelligent, or at least not very well educated if you do not have good communication skills, so it could make it harder to get a good job. Another is that people may not understand you very well.

Remember to talk about communication in various areas: marriage, business, education, friendships, internet (websites). Not just person to person, but what effect it has when communication skills are poor because of language barriers, poor cognitive skills, not understanding particular lingo (like, law has its own language, medicine has its own language, architect has its own language, and so forth.)
